2006 to 2015 and after...
Anybody who has kept up to date with us will know that way back in 2006 Antony Barnett wrote an article for The Observer newspaper about contaminated air in passenger jet airliners - but Mr Barnett quickly moved on to more interesting subjects i.e. he was investigating car parking scams in London ....
As many people will have seen in the intervening years - there has been much quality information published on this public health issue by the media, but no Court cases to report - except for the High Court win in Australia of 2010 after 18 years. So there's always the suspicion that just maybe, the sick aircrew and passengers are somehow making it all up and that the government/airlines are correct?
Let's deal with 2012, 2013 and 2014 quickly.

2014
Two TV reports. UK & Australia.
The first from a local BBC TV station which features Chairman Professor David Coggon of The Committee on Toxicity of Chemicals in Food (CLOT), Consumer Products and the Environment Food Standards Agency arguing that 'exposure to organophospates in an enclosed space is not dangerous...'
He likens the ill health effects to Liqueur chocolates v's bottles of whisky. Meanwhile his 'independent' committee is using the concentrations of chemicals in so-called 'normal air' claiming that it is impossible to publish the concentrations of chemicals in a 'fume event'.

The second hard hitting report from 60 Minutes in Australia and features Professor Bagshaw, who is a doctor paid by Airbus and airlines to claim that he 'Doesn't know what is causing illness'. Professor Bagshaw has since refused to do any more media interviews.
What will 2015 bring in the media?
Wouldn't it be interesting to return in 20 years time and review ALL of the EVIDENCE of who reported what and when....
If anyone suspects that they are not being kept fully up to date with what is actually going on - contact your friendly media - as this PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUE is definitely reckoned by many to be in the PUBLIC INTEREST.
