Update to previous article : SWISS mourns the Death of Cabin Crew Member

According to information The Aviation Herald was given, the left-hand engine seized due to an uncontained failure, raising the possibility that the main shaft was shattered. The smoke was caused by an oil leak. The engine is being replaced.

Other reports by  Keystone-SDA state that the damaged engine is being shipped back to the United States for examination by the manufacturer, Pratt & Whitney and an investigation by authorities.
