Report a Fume or "Odour" Event
A fume event can be anything from visible (white) fumes, to various strengths of "smells" comparable to: wet dog, vomit, electrical smell, oil /burning smell, sweaty feet/gym shoes, chemical smell. Symptoms can occur immediately and could be: go to symptoms. If you are a pilot, flight attendant or air crew member and you experience an oil fume/ toxic fumes event on board a passenger aircraft then you have a mandatory duty to report it. If you are a passenger and experience an oil fume event then you have a public health duty to report the incident. Examples: (Note: can be raised with other aviation authorities as well)
